This app uses internet searches to support recipe creation and baking-related responses. All searches are performed by the Copilot service at runtime; the app does not maintain its own external databases.
Setup / Installation Steps
Follow these standard Microsoft Marketplace and Copilot Agent installation steps:
- Install from Microsoft Marketplace
- Sign in to Microsoft AppSource or Microsoft Teams App Store using a Microsoft 365 work or school account.
- Search for “The Baker’s Copilot.”
- Select Get it now or Add.
- Consent to Required Connections

- Default Configuration
- The agent is preconfigured to work out-of-the-box.

- No custom endpoints or customer-managed external data sources are required.
- Channel Availability
- Ensure that Microsoft Teams and/or Microsoft 365 Copilot channels are enabled in your tenant.
- The agent will automatically appear where Copilot Agents are allowed.
- User Access
- Access is governed by Microsoft 365 and Teams policies.
- No per-user setup is required beyond licensing and permissions.
- Updates
- Updates are delivered automatically through the Microsoft Marketplace.
- No manual upgrade steps are required.

Licensing Requirements
To use The Baker’s Copilot, your organization must have:
- Microsoft 365 license that includes Microsoft Teams, and
- One of the following Copilot-related licenses:
- Microsoft Copilot Studio license, and/or
- Microsoft 365 Copilot license (if accessing through M365 Copilot).
Note: Availability of Copilot features depends on your tenant configuration and Microsoft licensing terms.
Permissions
- Users must be allowed to:
- Install or use third-party apps from Microsoft Marketplace (per tenant policy).
- Authenticate standard Microsoft first-party connectors.
- No admin consent beyond standard Copilot Studio and Teams permissions is required.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
The app does not appear after installation
- Confirm that Microsoft Teams apps are enabled in your tenant.
- Check that Copilot Agents are not restricted by policy.
- Sign out and back into Teams, or restart the Teams client.
Authentication prompt keeps reappearing
- Ensure you completed the consent flow for both Copilot Studio and Microsoft Teams connections.
- Verify that pop-ups are not blocked during installation.
The agent does not respond
- Confirm you are interacting with the correct app (The Baker’s Copilot).
- Make sure Copilot services are available in your region.
- Try starting a new chat or conversation thread.
Does the app use or store my data externally?
- The Baker’s Copilot may perform internet searches to retrieve publicly available information for recipe creation and baking guidance.
- The app does not store external data or maintain its own third-party databases.
- All interactions and search activity are handled within Microsoft Copilot services and follow Microsoft’s security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Can this app be customized?
- This Marketplace version is delivered as-is.
- Customizations would require a separately developed Copilot Agent.
